Six Nations Rugby Whisky of the Week
Not one but two whiskies featured this week!
With the start of the Six Nations tournament this weekend, we’ve decided to feature two whiskies this week in honor of the big rugby match on Sunday between Ireland and Wales.
Teeling Small Batch – Dublin may be best known for Guinness but it also once was the heart of Irish whiskey distilleries. Teeling is reviving the craft distilling tradition with their small batch whisky, characteristically smooth and mellow. For more information, click here
Penderyn – the best whisky starts with the best water, and Penderyn is a perfect example of how water makes all the difference. Made with water from the Brecon Beacons and distilled in a custom designed copper still, the demand for this whiskey is so great that it is allocated outside of Wales . If the choice seems too hard, we’ll make it easy for you – if you can’t decide between the Teeling and the Penderyn, why not try them both?
As always, the Whisky of the Week is very limited – once the bottle is gone, it’s gone!
The Six Nations Rugby Championship starts on Saturday, February 6 at 9:25am with France v Italy. Scotland v England to follow at 11:50am.
On Sunday it’s Ireland v Wales at 10am. The kitchen will be open at 10am as well.
There is a $20 cover charge for all the Six Nations matches.
